Postage options??

Postage options??

So I had our invitation weighed at the PO this morning and the postage will be $1 per invite. Now...are my only choices to put two heart stamps (one .42 and one .59=$1.01) or order the 1.34 stamps (from zazzle etc)?? I did want personalized stamps...just annoys me to put the extra 34 cents of postage on each envelope...

Any insight is appreciated!

Re: Postage options??

We used $1 stamps (they do exist!)

i hated the wedding heart stamps and wanted to do whatever i could to avoid them, and I prefer the look of one stamp to 2 when possible.

i thought about ordering from zazzle, but they are quite a bit more expensive and the $1 stamps looked nice with our ivory envelopes and our blue/peach theme

whatever works for you.

I PROMISE YOU not one person will notice the stamps. We sent out special ones on our save the dates and not one single person said a word...and we picked the Superhero ones SPECIFICALLY....

lol...I was just all over usps.com and did not see $1 stamps!! Does the post office normally carry these or did you have to order? Do you know if there are other designs?? We may just have to save some money and go this route!

Out invitations were $1.00 also and we used to 93 cent personalized zazzle stamp plus a 10 cent stamp, making the total postage $1.03 per invitation. Pics in my album.

Re: Postage options??

I'm in the same boat as OP. My invites will cost $1.00, but I wanted to do personalized ones too and the only other price option is $1.34 for the personalized ones.

I was thinking of maybe getting the wedding heart 59 cent ones. And then doing the personalized 42 cent ones from zazzle.com, which would equal $1.01. I figure I'm most likely going to end up having to put 2 stamps on the invites, so why not do one heart, one personalized one.

I know many people don't notice or care about the postage, but I remember when my friend did it, I thought it was the cutest thing.

So my advice would be to do a wedding heart 59 cent one and a personalized 42 cent one.

Does anyone know if you can just get the wedding heart ones in the post office, or do you have to order them online? Just curious if most post offices carry them.

my P.O. rarely had the wedding stamps in stock. you can check, but its probably easier to get them online.
