Postage question.

Postage question.

So FMIL called FH today (oh PS this is the first time she's called him since she bailed last minute on my Bridal Shower, she didn't even call him for his birthday) to tell him that his aunt got the invitation today and it said we were $.07 short on postage. Which I found odd because the post office told me it would be $.81 to mail and we put $.88 worth of postage on it. I thought maybe FMIL got it wrong because we were exactly $.07 over but then I don't think they would make note of a stamp overage... why would theirs need more postage than anyone elses?

My bet is that FMIL just needs something to complain about regarding our wedding and created this story knowing we would never talk to this woman to actually ask but did this happen to anyone else?

thats really weird. it shouldnt make a difference where it was going....if your invites got to everyone else i dont see why they would have had a problem?!?!

I'm confused

Wouldn't the post office return to sender if the postage wasn't sufficient? How would it get delivered anyway with a note about being 7 cents short? Shoot...if that's the case, I wanna go to whichever post office you went to.

Don't sweat it...as long as they arrived you have nothing to worry about.

Yay!!! for getting them out

Yeah I would assume that it would be returned to the sender if it was insufficient... My bet is that she's just making it up to have something to complain about.

that doesn't make sense at all. if it's short on money, it would have been returned to the sender. they would never deliver it with the insufficient postage. what would be the point of that?

That's what I thought but she's back on the phone right now making a fuss over it. I'm going to mail his Aunt a check for seven cents.
