Postage Question

For girls who already mailed their invites and had square invitations...

how much did you have to pay for postage for each invite? Did you have to use two stamps? TIA

Re: Postage Question

I think you have to pay a fee of 20 cents for having an odd shaped invite. I think most invites are around 61 cents, which makes the total for an odd shaped invite 81 cents. They have wedding cake designed 61 cent stamps and the post office I went to suggested I make up the other 20 cents with 2 clock stamps (ummm...no thank you). I got charged an extra 20 cents because of 'rigidity' and wound up using 2 44 cent stamps. I used the king and queen of hearts for the outside and I loved the way they came out. Yeah, you're overpaying 7 cents an invite, but I think it's worth it. HTH

Re: Postage Question

I mailed out one sqaure one 7x7 (it was one the lady did for me and I used it to send to the president LOL) and it cost $1.56 to mail. My 5x10 envelopes costs 81 cents but I used the king/queen of heart stamps and overpaid by 7cents just because they looked cute together

Re: Postage Question

I had a square invite, and I just mailed them out. I had to use 2, .61 invites. At least they matched, I used the wedding cakes.
