When you sent out your invitations did you bring them to the post office to weigh them and just pay the exact amount or did you put stamps on them?

Postage Question
Definitely go weigh them! We had purchased a zillion stamps before i realized that we were going to be over the 1 ounce forever stamp weight. I think postage came out to .70 per invite.

Postage Question
My invitations were shipped in boxes so I weighted them at home and checked the online prices on the usps website. Then, I went to the post office with the invitation to weigh it again (double checking).
I had to purchase the stamps online because they didn't have any wedding ones. They arrived in 2-3 days.

Postage Question
I have a postage scale I use for my Etsy shop, so I knew it would be .70, but I had them weigh it too before I bought postage just to be safe! lol

Postage Question
Good question! I just did this on Saturday. I stuffed all of my envelopes, brought the large box to the P.O. and had them weigh it. He gave me the stamps to purchase..then I stood in the P.O. stamping all of my envelopes, and then I mailed them... I asked if they could be hand stamped, and he looked at me like I was nuts... so I guess that is not a thing.
So, after my somewhat embarrassing day at the post office, my suggestion is bring one fully stuffed and have it weighed, by the stamps, put the stamps on at home, then bring in your big box haha.

Postage Question
I brought mine to be weighed, and it is a good thing I did because the postal worked could feel a bow on the invitation and I had to pay an additional .21cents per invitation for the bow. But my post office did hand stamp them. I was told not all of them do it.

Postage Question
I brought one of mine to be weighed and then ordered custom postage from zazzle, stamped them all when they arrived, and brought them to the post office!

Postage Question
It's where they stamp a mark over the postage by hand, instead of running it through the machine. Helps lessen the risk of invites getting mangled LOL
