Postage Robbery

Postage Robbery

So I just brought my invites to the post office. My belly band is still in the works but even without it and the direction card, because my invites are 6 3/8 squares they count as a package and will cost 1.51 each to send - ughhh!

What am I supposed to do - put three 59 cents stamps on each and cough up 1.77! Zazzle doesn't even come in that demonination and zazzle stamps are almost twice the cost!

Any ideas?

Can you just have them print the postage on them, liek they do when you get a bill in the mail? Is that called hand cancelling? I don't know the postage lingo.

I should ask about label postage. I suppose that is an option although those stickers the post office makes are so unattractive. Guess they may be my only option!

hand cancelling is just when they don't put ypur envelopes through a machine i think.

Kristina,
what if you put 2 stamps for 59 cents and one for 42 cents -- that comes to $1.60 and should cover the extra weight of the belly band and the directions card

This def. sounds like the best option. I did not want to use three stamps on an invite but it def seems like this is my best option.
