Plus - your pretty picture might get stamped when it's run through the machine...

The only thing I would worry about is that sometimes the front of a postcard gets a little messed up from the trip.

i voted for yes.
you might want to look into the oversized ones. my bat mitzvah had a wizard of oz theme and i did large (either 5x7 or 8x10![]()
) photo postcards. they left plenty of room to write a personalized message and were well received.
just make sure they leave you room to write more than 'dear X, thank you for your gift, love bride&groom' because a lot of postcards only leave a smidge of space.

my cousin did them for her, just so happened it rained really bad that week, peoples got the wet, ink had ran really bad, they didnt look that wonderful

i dont think its a ridiculous idea but postcards get really dirty during the shipment process...
i say YAY if you put it in a envelope but then that wont be a postcard lol

my friend did a photo post card but she put it in a regular envelope so it didnt get ruined.

BE CAREFUL WITH POST CARDS!!!!

mailing could be an issue - but the main issue people like to keep the picture so I would preprint the message on the other side and write SOFTLY on it so that your pen doesn't make markings on the other side.
