Well since you asked for honesty... the first thing I think of is... ' why do I want a paperweight ' hehe... this favor thing is a hard thing to decide and I am not one to go all out for a favor.. but a paperweight I dont really like...

We're not having favors actually. Instead, as people are leaving there will be a candy bar with baggies saying thank you for spending our day with us etc. - I seriously have never once kept a favor or used one - often they are left in the car etc. - the only time we've used them is my one friend who gave out wine

I think with the economy the way it is, cutting back on stuff like that would not be frowned upon. Just my opin.

We did not give out favors and no one missed them. It was not something we felt that we needed to spend the money on especially since most people end up never using it.

I kind of agree with the ladies as well.. I went to three weddings this past summer all family and I dont have ONE favor.. I didnt even know what they were until after when I asked other family.. I have come to the conclusion money dosent have to be spent on favors.. except maybe wine.. I like the candy car idea alot.. I was thinking that with brownies of some sort with little boxes they can package them in on the way out... JMO...

I too am doing a candy bar and that is going to serve as the favor. We decided to do that because like myself I hate going to weddings and getting things that i am not going to use. I have been to ALOT of weddings and ask me if I still have anything left from those weddings. We figured that we wanted to do something just to show an appreciation and we figured that something edible would be nice. We are going to have an assortment of candy that will cater to everyone and I think it's something different and cute. Even if the guests themselves don't eat the candy, i'm sure they'll take it home for their kids or grandkids.

I'm sorry..I agree with the other girls...I really don't know how useful a paperweight would be We did donations in lieu of a favor to honor our late fathers. I didn't want to spend money on a favor that guests wouldn't use/enjoy as much as I enjoyed choosing it lol...although edible favors seem like they're popular. I went to two weddings this summer and one favor was white chocolate sand dollars and the other was a wedding cake cookie Food is always good lol

sorry, but I too have to say I agree with the girls. I would just do as someone else said, maybe give out cookies, a candy bar, a little cake or something like that as a gift... It'd get eaten & definitely beat gifts people will just throw on the side and forget

Save the money sweetie! I honestly would not know what to do with a paperweight.

Maybe keep it in the paper shredder basket? I agree with the other gals, something edible
