I wanted to do something different other than place cards, more like a gold framed poster with the list of names and seating alphabetically listed. If anyone has any pictures of this idea or any other ideas i would love to know about them. Thanks!

peopel have definitely done this... like a huge poster put in a nice frame...
i would do a search. only negative with this,i would think is if you have to make last minute changes you have to re-do the whole thing.

this isn't a frame, but it's kind of along the same idea with the list.... if i had seen this before our wedding I would've absolutely done it..i think it's beautiful!
i love the idea of posterboard seating charts and things like it!

I went to a wedding that had this and it was horrible. It was annoying to read and all the older people were complaining because they couldn't find their names easily . When the names are put on a board they are obviously closer that individual place cards which makes it harder for the older/ elderly to read. I'm 22 and it was even difficult for my to find my name!!
If you want an alternative to regular place cards do some more research.....personally don't think this is the best alternative!

I saw in The Knot, a girl did two huge blackboards leaned against one another. They were rectangle shaped. It was so cute.
