i just found out that my husband is going away to air traffic control school in 2 weeks. we got married already because he was sent to afghanistan last summer. now we have a wedding booked and he's going away for four months for this and wont get home in time!! im freaking out. i just found out today!!
trying to reschedule is turning out to be impossible!!!! i dont know what to do??!!
i just need to move it an extra week. the only day available in the few weeks after he'll be home is sept 11!! i dont know what to do??

It sounds like an amazing opportunity for your husband and your future together. I am sorry that you will have to move your wedding. You have already overcome a huge hurdle...when he had to go over seas. The available date may be a way for you to make that a good memory...

I totally feel for you. Is he going to Oklahoma City? My fiancee was there in October, trained...hated working for the FAA, and is now in Arizona for 2 1/2 months training for a positin with Lockheed Martin. FH should be able to come home for the weekend or request a day or two off. They dont have classes on weekends. Maybe you still can have your wedding. Good Luck.

She said he's leaving in 2 weeks .... that would mean having the wedding in 2 weeks. I highly doubt all her guests and vendors could make arrangements that quickly ....

Is this for his job with the military??? Don't they give you leave for your wedding? If not, they totally should. That is so not right. I hope it works out.

he's leaving in 2 WEEKS!
and they're already married.
it would only make sense to have it after he gets home, since its a celebration of their marriage.

There was a recent post by someone who cancelled her wedding...it was scheduled for early November (I want to say the 8th) at Floral terrace...if you're willing to have it later than September, maybe FT still has the date available and can give you a good deal for it due to the circumstances...just a thought ...
