Potential FMIL problem

Okay ladies, this takes the cake.... Yesterday me and FH went to see a show in NYC with his mom and brother and we are going to be taking a mini moon (FH is a techer) and then go on the big honeymoon over the summer. So we get to The Marriot Marquee just to find out packages etc and then she says.... Since you will be in NYC anyway and I like shows then I will meet you for dinner and a show one night! No offense here, but the lady is not giving us a red cent for the wedding except her people, and I just want to spend time with my new husband. The nerve! She said I can tell my kids one day what she did and everyone will think it is cute!!! I did notsay a word becuase I figured when I have to deal with it I will, but what would you do?????

I would do exactly what you said. Wait and see what happens. You haven't officially made any plans yet but when you do and the subject comes up just politely say you and FH want to be alone!!! I always get FH to back me up or at least be present when the conversation takes place. It is always easier that way. I totally understand where you are coming from. I love my FMIL but sometimes it can all be a little too much, if you know what I mean!

Have your FH tell his Mom NOWAY!!!!
What person in their right mind would think you would think it would be 'cute' to have their FMIL for one night of the honeymoon! Sheesh! Good Luck to you!

I would put the brakes on this one now. My FH and I took a trip to Disney one year and my FMIL just showed up on our trip. Handle this right away!
