Re: Pots & Pans...
I say stainless with a few non-stick pans for the quick stuff & breakfast! Calphalon has a few non-stick 2 or 3 piece sets. But if you're gonna do cooking and want ones that stand the test of time,,,stainless.

I think that's what our plan will be - stainless steel set and a few extra non-stick!
funny how everyone is pretty split on this topic... ust goes to show, everyone's got a different preference.
thanks for the help!

Re: Pots & Pans...
we have a stainless steel set that my mother bought us when we moved into our apartment and have never had a problem. I am going to registering for some non-stick add-ons from the same line though.

Re: Pots & Pans...
nonstick pans are made with teflon which is not healthy for you. i'd stick with stainless steel.

I used to work for Calphalon and I think that you should register for the type of cook you are...my best advice is to register for stainless/aluminum (calphalon has an awesome line called calphalon one) and definately a non stick frying pan, and saucepan. The best kitchens have a variety of surfaces! I personally have a mix of all surfaces and love each one!

Totally agree! A great kitchen has all types. So if you are registering go with what you think is comfortable fo ryou but definitely add in some cast iron etc.

Re: Pots & Pans...
Stainless Steel... it is so much easier to clean (just use brillo). If something were to cook onto a nonstick pan, you can't really scrub or use anything abrasive or the pan will be ruined. Calphalon has an amazing set of stainless pots and pans..
