Dh and I are going here tomorrow...Is it worth the trip? I want some lamps, candles and maybe an area rug.

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
Lots of candles. Lamps - lots of items but limited variety. Area Rugs - hit or miss. Last year they had a lot of nice wool rugs. A few weeks ago it seemed like mostly Sisal.
Best bet is the seasonal serving pieces and smaller items, discontinued stuff. Most of the furniture I see looks pretty beat up - floor samples.
I wouldn't have super high hopes, but if you want to go to Tangers Mall anyway, it's worth it. There's an ABC Carpet store (not nearly what they have in the city) next door too - they also have rugs.
Consider getting the coupon book for the mall - it had a PB discount coupon - I think it was 10%

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
I LOVE going there. You can get really good deals on damaged items. Well, just minor scratches. We bought a mirror that has pic frames on th eside, and is also a coat rack. It was originally $160, and only paid $20. It was missing the glass on one of the frames, and a small scratch...you would NEVER notice

I live 15 minutes away so it is not far for me, but there are so many other stores I think it is worth trip. Riverhead is really buiilding up, they have a TGIF, Boulder Creek, Michaels, Linen & Things, and more..

It is worth a look. With any outlet you could either find alot of great stuff or nothing. Tanger outlets is the best! I would go check it out.

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
When I went about a month ago the had junk. I was so disappointed. It was good if you needed dishes or glasses or stuff but I was hoping for decorative items, furniture, frames, candles, etc for my new home and was thoroughly disappointed. They had some but not much. The furniture that I saw was very marked up and extremely scratched and not much off the regular price.....I am sure it is hit or miss but I missed big time.

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
Well we are back. We did not do too well at all. All I ended up with was a collage frame. It had a slight scratch, so we got it for 18$ off. Oh well.... I was looking for lighting and a carpet, no such luck.

That is so disappointing. I wonder why it's such a miss? I would think that the outlet would be wonderful... .

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
I've been there a few times - Sometimes I find amazing stuff, sometimes absolutely nothing. Usually the best stuff you can find is slightly damaged furniture / pieces and decorative items. Definitely not as good as the regular Pottery Barn store but you can sometimes find some great stuff - It is definitely hit or miss -

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
I love this store. We stopped there this weekend and I just got a small thing since I didnt really 'need' anything. But the furniture they sell is very close to new (even the damage is usually stuff that you would never see in your house anyway), the plates, etc.. are great and a lot cheaper. They have tons of frames and candle stuff there right now as well as some nice faux flowers and some bedding.

Re: Pottery Barn Outlet
I went today! Didn't find much of what I was looking for. But for anyone looking for a great deal on Headboards or chairs (dinning) there have plenty. They are all made of a great qaulity wood in all colors. Didn't really see many lamps. I did like there king size pillows and were only $20. It was worth the trip. Like any outlet place, it is a 'hit or miss' kind of deal.
