Pottery Barn registry

Has anybody registered there or plan to? I am seriously thinking of them as a choice because I love the store so much!! Just looking for feedback.

I did. It was the only place we found bedding we could both agree on (and wasn't too ridiculously priced).

we also registered for their silver barware and vases. (nothing bought yet )

I registered there and I am so happy we did. I love the things we have received so far and I can't wait until my shower so I can actually use everything.

I inquired about registering there. The girl said most of their inventory is seasonal and isnt in stock too long....tops 6 months. If you plan to register at the beinning of a 'season', your choices should be still in stock. But I wouldnt register too early. Hope this helps!!

Yeah, there were a lot of seasonal things, but also a lot of PB classic this and that. Just check your registry often

Definitly the same thing happened to me, I registered for a ton of stuff and 80% of it is no longer available! And I REALLY liked a lot of it!

I wound up just leaving the monogram stuff on it and a few things that aren't seasonal and not bothering to add new stuff. Too frustrating.

I registered there and hated it

They're stuff is very seasonal so it changes every couple of months and I had to update me registry so many times because stuff is discontinued, etc. Because of this I registered very minimal stuff there and didn't really tell people about that registry coz' i was soooo frustrated.

If you really like the store I suggest registering closer to your wedding or shower so you won't have to update it everytime the season changes.

Re: Pottery Barn registry

The only annoying thing that has happened to me is (a) I returned several things at different times and they could not put all the credits on one gift card, so now I have two which just got on my nerves.

And of course the curtains I registered for are only available thru internet (which I cannot use the gift cards on) or catalog - so order thru the store but it's still 10% of total order for shipping!! Now I was having a hard enough time justifying $600 for bedroom curtains, but hey, I was gonna apply $200 of the credit towards it ... BUT I CANNOT PAY $60 IN SHIPPING FEES FOR SIX CURTAINS!!!!

Anyway, the worst part is we love PB for their furniture mostly (but again will not pay ridiculous shipping charges) and we don't need $200 worth of 'stuff' ... oh well, live & learn.

(sorry for the extended rambling ....)

you really shouldn't register for bedding until a couple months before your wedding anyway.

I'm registered there. I love the store so I deal with the registry which can be really annoying. There inventory changes so often that you really have to stay on top of your registry and update often. It's worked out fine for me.

wc0143,

Have you ordered furniture from Pottery Barn? I am really picky with furniture...and I really like some of the PB collections. I thought the shipping costs were kind of high.

I only have PB furniture that we've bought at the outlet in Riverhead. I would love to furnish my entire house (ok - after we win the lottery to pay for the shipping!! LOL)

Re: Pottery Barn registry

I had a friend who just got married last month that registered at PB and told me she would never reccomend it to anyone. She let me know that it was hard because they did not keep very good track of quantities and then when everything was bought off her registery she was trying to return things but everything was bought off her registry and could not get money back only exchanges
