Pray for me please!!! Today at 5:15 I will be seeing my wedding dress for the first time since I dropped it at the cleaners 5 weeks ago! I bought it at Priscilla of Boston when they were closing. The orrignal price was $7,300 and I got it for $299! Yes, you read right. The doors of the stores were closing that weekend and they were giving everything away. Veils for $7, bridesmaids dresses for $10…and all bridal gowns were under $499! BUT my gown was in fact dirty. Just plain ol dirt…not food or sugar stains obviously but man I didn’t think all of it might come out but for $300 I could take a chance right? I would never, ever be able to even walk in that store if they weren’t having a closeout sale like that!

So I just got a call from the cleaner saying they are finished and for to come and inspect it. I feel like I’m gonna throw up! LOL Once I see it if I am happy they are going to lock it up in a box with nitrogen and something else until I am ready to open it and get it pressed. OH GOD I hope all the marks came out!!!Say a little prayer for me girls!

Mine's not so bad actually!
There's a little dirt around the edges of the top and bottom and a couple things need to be repaired like the bustle and a little lace in the back but the seamstress assured me it could be done. My mom inspected it and thinks it will be fine.
I'm actually going to post about where to go to get it done in a minute...

That's such great news!!! It gives me hope since I got my dress at the last Running of the Brides in Boston. It's not super dirty, but it doesn't have that brand new dress glow. How much did your dress cleanings cost (ballpark)? I got my dress for $499 and an awesome deal on additions/alterations so hopefully I can have success with the cleaning? How much do dress cleanings cost and how far in advance to they need to get done?
