My poor little Gizmo bit his foot too hard on Sunday and was bleeding. We thought he just got the nail, so we figured he would be okay. But then it started bleeding again on Monday night, so we took him to the vet on Tuesday. They said he had an infection and put him on antibiotics and pain killers and put his back paw in a bandage. Well, he goes in on Friday for a bandage change and now that the swelling went down they noticed that he has a tumor in the toe. They took a biopsy to see if it is cancerous. If it is, they will have to take off his toe!! The other thing it could be is hyperplasia which is an overgrowth of the connective tissue. Please pray for Gizmo that it is not cancer!
Poor baby... will keep Gizmo in my thoughts... along with my baby Luce!

UPDATE: He finally got his bandage off. He's so happy to be out of that thing! And we got the biopsy results today....it's not malignant!! We do need to watch it though to make sure it doesn't change, because it could become cancerous later on. Thanks for all the prayers ladies!!!!
