Prayers needed..sensative topic!

As I type one of my friends is in labor. She is only 20 some odd weeks along so the baby has passed on to heaven..but she has to deliver. What hurts most is that she feels guilty..I diagnosed her and told her to stay off her feet because her doc was being too lenient with her condition..she ignored my advice because she so wanted to be able to give their baby everything and continued working. I did not want to be right..I would rather have been wrong. So please say a prayer even if you dont know her. There is nothing sadder than going through labor and leaving empty handed.

oh my... please tell her my thoughts are with her... being 23 wks pg myself... this is my biggest fear! My mom also went through this.

I am so sorry. One of my best friends just lost her baby (he was delivered normally, went home for two days, and they took him back to the hospital in a panic because he wasn't eating and was very listless...) Turns out he had a heart condition and they missed it... he died at 10 days old, and he suffered SO much in that last week. It was the saddest, most awful thing I have ever seen.

I can't say enough how sorry I am. Maybe Owen is welcoming your friend's baby into heaven right now

I will pray for her. I can't imagine going through labor and delivery knowing that the baby is gone. Everyone says the pain is worth it, because you have a baby then... and she is going through this just to bury her baby.

Omg you ladies are so great. I am trying to keep busy myself..She is going to have it tough. Her cousin is due in 4 weeks and her good friend delivered in january. I dont know if I am strong enough for what she may need from me.

I have found that my friend has shied away from talking to anyone... it makes it especially tough because she lives in Pennsylvania, and I only see her a few times a year as it is... she has stopped talking on the phone, stopped emailing and stopped text messaging me. For a while she was so busy at work all we could do was text...

I have been doing my best to keep in touch with her... and it's hard... her sister is pregnant, I have a 1 year old niece and I haven't mentioned her in three months. YEsterday was the first time she ever asked about her. I find myself not sure what to talk about, but I can't avoid her---her coworkers are avoiding her, they don't know what to say so they dont' talk to her.

Make sure that she doesn't wrap herself up in a little bubble... I feel like my friend is trying to hide from the world (not that I blame her) but I don't want her to go through this alone. Keep calling her, even just to say hi. She might want to talk about it, she might want to talk about anything BUT. Just try to keep her connected to the outside world. Everything around her is going to stay the same, but she and her family and friends will be grieving. Try to keep her connected to everyone and everything else in her life.
