Prayers Needed**Update**
I got called at work today to meet my grandma in the hospital b/c she was in grave condition.
She's been in the hospital for a few days now b/c she was complaining that she wasn't feeling well. To be honest, we all thought she was faking. She's been known to lean toward the side of a hypochondriac from time to time. There was nothing visably wrong with her and they just kept her for tests.
All of a sudden today, her blood count dropped drastically and they found out that she's been bleeding internally. Her blood count dropped below 5 when it was at 7 yesterday. They're running all sorts of tests to find the source of the bleeding.
When I saw her last night, she said that if she didn't make it to my wedding that I should go on without her. When she said it, we all thought she was being dramatic and cruel. Now I sob everytime I think of it.
I've been in the hospital since 1 and I just came to my grandma's house to pick up my aunt (she's developmentally disabled and we had to tell her carefully what was going on).
I'm heading back out now but I was hoping that you girls could send some prayers her way. I don't know what I would do without my Grammy.
UPDATED
I just got back from the hospital for the first time since Thursday and I just knew that you girls were sending prayers our way. I've slept in the waiting room the past two nights and it's been a horrible rollercoaster.
They were not able to stop the internal bleeding. They know that it is in her intestines but when they go in there's too much blood to find the source. The only sure way to find it to go in for surgery and basically she doesn't even have enouh blood for that.
They also have to be very careful about building her blood count back up b/c she had open heart surgery 10 years ago *when she was only 55* and she has a mechanical valve. If her blood level jumps too quickly she will go into cardiac arrest or have a stroke.
Our family has flown over for around the country and we are all just waiting in the hospital. I climb into her hospital bed sometimes and just kiss her up. This grandma basically raised me. I'm heading back to the hospital now so I gotta.
Just wanted to thank you girls so much for your prayers. We really need them now.
