Prayers Please

Girls, I'm going to have to ask for prayers, yet again.

Tomorrow I'm going in for oral surgery, and while I know it is a common procedure, I've never had surgery of any kind before, and I've never been under anesthesia, and I'm scared to death of it because of the stories you hear about some people never waking back up.

I've been having the shiettiest year ever so far, and this is just adding to the pile, and I'm scared. I could really use some encouragement and hugs right about now

I felt EXACTLY the same way when I went for mine a few years ago, so I know what you're going through!

I actually begged them to just do local anesthesia just for that purpose, which they did. Then I felt very silly after because no one ever has a problem when it comes to oral surgery and it could've spared me some pain to just have it done the normal way. Whatever your doc tells you -- they're the experts! -- just go with.

I'm so sorry you've been going through all you have to get this done, but I'm glad you're getting the surgery done tomorrow! The recovery is much, much better than the anticipation!!!

You're going to be FINE! When you go under for anastesia, you just feel totally relaxed. Then when they wake you up, you feel like you've been asleep for like 15 seconds. Don't worry at all!

Try not to stress- I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth taken out about 3 years ago, and I was knocked out for it, and I am SOO glad I was... I woke up what felt like a minute later and yea you feel like you just drank a bottle of wine...LOL

You will be down for a count for a few days, and yea it will be a little painful between the painkillers and anti-nausea meds I pretty much slept for 3 days straight after.

Sending prayers your way, Ali! You will be fine. Just remember to take the painkillers BEFORE the pain gets bad - it's always easiest to stop pain before it starts than try to get rid of it once it's there (according to my sister the nurse).

You will be fine. I was a little bit naseaus right after and sore for a few days, but you'll feel so much better after they're out than you do now!

You will be absolutely fine! I had all four of wisdom teeth taken out at the same time and underwent full anesthesia. It was no big deal. I was back to normal in 2 days.

Actually, the worst part of it for me were the painkillers. I think they prescribed me Vicodin and it made me vomit the first night so I ended up just throwing them away.

I was worried when I had to get mine out too, but try not to stress out too much!! The last thing I remember was the doc telling me to uncross my legs and the next thing I knew I was waking up and it felt like all of 30 seconds had passed. You will be fine!!!!!! and recovery isn't that bad!!! I know everyone has a different experience but don't worry!!! you will be fine!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry you'll be okay.I've gone thru alot of oral surgeries, root canal, teeth extractions and i'm still here to live about it .
