Prayers Please (UPDATE)

I just found out that my godfather (favorite uncle) has only been given 2-4 months to live. I'm just beside myself with grief. He's been fighting AIDS for a long time, but has done well considering. He recently started losing his eyesight. Then, on Christmas day, he had to go into the hospital where he was diagnosed with lymphoma of the brain. He's lived in Dallas most of my life, so I haven't been able to spend the time with him that I've wanted, but we have a special bond. Now he will not be there to share my special day or to visit me next Christmas once I've moved to the city (something he's always wanted to do). We are trying to get him to San Diego to be with his family for the end. I do not ask for a miracle - I know he is too weak to fight the cancer - I just pray that when he passes, it will be without pain and that the last few months of his life be packed with as much love and as many of his 'favorite things' as possible.

Again, thank you all so much for your prayers. My godfather passed away tonight - quietly and without pain. Although I wish I could have seen him one more time, I know he is in a better place. Thanks for all your love and support.

Christine I am so Sorry to hear this sad news. He is in a better place and is out of his pain and misery. I know you will still miss him but we are all always here for you. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it wil be sad for you not to have him in body anymore, but you always have him in minda and spirit and in your heart. Its much better for him to be out of the pain he was feeling, and now he is your extra angel watching over you.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss....

I had an aunt I was very close to pass away days before my wedding. It was difficult for everyone, but someone told me that it just meant I had one more angel up there looking down on me during my special day....

It was a comforting thought knowing she was there in spirit.

Your unlce will be there watching, be sure of that!
