We just did it in Queens. I'm not sure if each place is different but ours wasn't bad at all. I'd say the only negative was sitting in the metal chairs all day - bring a pillow :)

The couple was very entertaining and really kept you interested, the exercises were easy and one to one (just you and FH) and even the lunch wasn't bad.

I agree. we did ours in Brooklyn last weekend and it wasn't that bad. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

If anyone, can share what exactly happens there? The priest did not give us a pre-cana date... yet

He says he has to wait, for the next year calendar to come out. I don't believe him, but I don't want to argue with him.

We got off really easy. We went to St. Mary's in Island Park and it was only 2 hours on friday night and 2 hours on sat night and that was it!!!!!

Re: Pre-cana?

We did it last month in Brooklyn 1 Saturday. It was from 9:30-4:30. They had a light breakfast and gave us an hour for lunch, which was a hot catered buffet. I was dreading it but it really wasn't bad at all.

I guess every case is different but this was our experience. It was led just by a older married couple. They gave us a booklet to share with duplicated worksheets. We didn't do all of them but we were separated for the ones we did do. The girls and guys would answer the same questions at the same time, then come together to share the answers. it was all pretty private. I had thought we would be discussing things aloud with the group. Many of the activities were actually very helpful and made you think and discuss some things that you may never had thought of..

sorry this was so long.

Re: Pre-cana?

Wish I could help you but my priest told us we don't have to do pre-cana - at all! I'm not really sure why and I didn't want to push the issue. Everyone says it's not bad though so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
