FH and I had precana for the first time last night....
The deacon made a big speech to everyone saying if we are having sex we should stop and we should wait until we are married because there is nothing to be gained from doing that and we are only hurting ourselves!

we had to listen to a woman talk about all the details of abortion for over an hour... I just kept thinking to myself, all these people are here because they are planning to have families together, why the lecture about abortion... plus she was totally psycho...

Wow, I feel so lucky. Our hosts (husband and wife team) were so great. They never lectured us about sex, birth control or anything else like that. They basically said we should pray on our decisions about what we do to make sure they are the right ones for us. They did recommend that if you were doing it, to stop till the wedding night to make it special again.
I don't think I could handle being lectured too.

I couldn't handle being lectured to either..that happened one time in precana and it was more informational i guess?? But still came across as a lecture..it was regarding NFP...loads of fun

We were lucky too. We had a great experience at pre-cana. When someone in our group mentioned the sex before marriage issue, our group facilitators seemed to be in favor of sex in general and didn't condone it before marriage. It was really cool

WOW, We had Pre Cana at St. Mary's and I don't remember him ever saying that. But then again, I was tired and only heard about half of what he said, I am going to hell. WHo is the couple that you will be with??

FH and I live in MA right now, so we are taking pre cana up here...we are getting married at Saint Mary's though!

We had Pre-Cana a few months ago and the couple we would meet with were too shy to talk about 'sex' so they skipped the subject all together. I thought it was pretty cute because they were in their early 70's.

what they never said anything to us at that. But talking about sex that is it. That is werid. I had a Great Exprience with it. I learned alot from it.
