Pre-cana?

Thanks. I don't think we could handle 6 days. Our quicky meeting with our priest was almost 2 hrs. long. OOOOOOOFFFFFFFFF.

I called the diocese this morning for other churches.

yes, you don't have to do the in-parish Pre-Cana... but either way, the hours are the same. The six day Pre-cana meets six times but you are only there for 2 hours each time = 12 hours.

The Diocese offers weekend options, so it's usually a Friday evening for a couple of hours and ALL day Saturday and often a closing Mass on the Sunday. (ie. again about 12 hours)

Your priest should have given you a packet on the Diocesan wide programs that you can do if you don't do it at your own parish. Also check the Diocese of Rockville Centre website www.drvc.org. they should have Pre-Cana dates posted/

I don't see why not. However, I think they might require a better reason than just you'd rather do the one-day pre-cana.

My church offers a one-day program (I actually just called to register a few minutes ago!) and some two-days also.

FH & I are doing a one-day pre-cana @ St Cyril & Methodious in Deer Park on Jan 20th. I think they have another one-day in Jan and one in February.
When we met with the priest he signed us up for the one day - he never asked which one we wanted.
