Pre Cana

When do you all start pre cana? we're gonig to FOCCUS in October and our church told us we're probably going to be in the January pre cana classes

I'm not sure.... lol my FH is nervous b/c we have to stand up in front of the church at two separate masses for a blessing!

Wow, my church doesn't even have the 2009 book yet! That's great that you can do pre-cana so early. One less thing to stress about later!

we did the FOCCUS already...it was kind of like a test. we are planning on doing pre cana next summer

My FH has to do his Confirmation before we do this pre cana or anything else. I am so mad that he didnt do this before.

I dont want to sound like a dope, but what is foccus? My sister did pre cana over a year ago and she never mentioned this... nervous now!

From what they told me FOCCUS is like a test you take - almost a survey I think that shows where your strengths and weaknesses? lie in the relationship. I think it's supposed to highlight things you two make need to work about before the wedding - like number of kids, how you'll raise them, discipline them.... stuff like that.

But hey I could be wrong! I'll let you know after we go though!

I did the Foccus. It was just like you said a survey. Me and the FH were in separate rooms. Some of the questions were pretty funny. One asked if there were things about my future spouse's personality that annoyed me, I was like Hell Yeah!

I haven't started Pre Cana yet though. We go back in October for the results of the Focus

Anywhere where I can get a copy of this test??? I'd like to try it just for the hell of it!! LOL
