When do you do this? Does each parish have their own time frame requirements?

I think each Parish is a little different. I'm not getting married until Oct 03. My Church has already contacted me twice to register for Pre Cana. I'm assuming you can go whenever you want. I'm not planning to go until a few months before the wedding. I thought a year is too early.

Contact your Church... They'd probably help you better than I just did!

Each parish is different. Contact your church and they will let you know. We are getting married Aug 29 and we start precana Jan 23

Thanks. I guess I will contact them a year from our wedding date. I have a lot ??s for my priest and deacon. I will just add this one to the list.

MY WEDDING IS 3/27/04 AND MY CHURCH DOES PRE-CANA IN JANUARY, AFTER EASTER AND IN SEPTEMBER SO WE ARE DOING IT IN JANUARY. WE START 1/5/03. WE FIGURED WE WILL DO IT IN THE WINTER WHEN THERE IS NOT MUCH GOING ON.

We were told to go as soon as possible. The priest said it was good to go super-early, so if any issues should come up - you'll have enough time to resolve them.

we need to go on sunday evenings due to fi's job so we're starting in january (4 evenings) for our october wedding. the church told us when to go, we didn't have much input (due to our weekend requirement).
