Does anyone know how early Pre-Cana can be done in the Brooklyn-Queens Diocese?

I did mine in May 2009 and I am not getting married till Sept 2010. I think you can do it whenever you want to as long as your church is booked.
edit- I did the Friday -Sat at Immaculate Conception in Douglaston

when we went in april, our priest said to do it before the end of the year to get the 2009 price. but then when i started looking into it last month the paperwork said no more then 6 months prior to your wedding date... so when i spoke to my priest and he asked if we signed up, i told him i was confused. he just said we can do it this year and not to worry. so we are signed up for dec 4 and 5 at the bklyn dio. fac.

I was told by my priest to do it closer to the date of the wedding. The soonest he said we could do it is under a year out from the wedding date. We actually have our last pre-cana class tomorrow and we're 6 mos. out! HTH!
ETA: We're doing the 3 2-hour classes on Tuesday nights at RA in Middle Village, Queens.

I'm not in the Brooklyn/Queens diocese, but I did pre-cana in April and we're getting married this coming June. So about 14 months before.

I definitely would look into it soon to know your options. We are in Nassau but it costs $60 at our parish and $300 if you go through the diocese option. I called at the beginning on November and the next session is Jan but booked. We are scheduled to start in May but that didn't give us all that much 'spare' time, as we are getting married Dec 2010.

It's a kind of pre-marriage course or pre-marriage counseling that you have to take in order to get married in a Catholic church.

We did ours in October 2009 and our Wedding is in June 2010. It was in Long Island though, but I'm sure you can do it whenever you want. If you go on their website, you can find a number and call someone to confirm.

i booked mine through the brooklyn/queens diocese website and it said no further than 6 months before your wedding so i booked it for december.

Thanks girls! Our priest told us we can do it whenever we wanted but when I went on the website it mentioned 6 months... I'd like to get it done sooner then later. Plus I just found out they give it at St. Marys which is like 2 minutes away from our house
