Pre Cana

Pre Cana

My church doesn't have Pre Cana and recommended going through Diocese of Rockville Center. Does anyone know if I can use any parish for Pre Cana instead? I just saw how expensive it is and was hoping to try to find somewhere that was a little less costly.

I did my Pre-Cana through Holy Name of Mary in Valley Stream. It was 3 weeks, Thursday nights, from 7:30-9ish pm. It cost $75. I know they have a spring session - you should call the rectory for info!

I'm pretty sure (99%) you can use any parish. We paid $75 for our pre - cana at Maria Regina RC Church in Seaford. I think they have one that's starting really soon. Call around and see when/if you can get it.

st patricks in bay shore its 75 for out of parish couples and is done in one weekend

Did mine in Douglaston Queens and paid 200 dollars for a friday night and all day Saturday

We are still researching but we got a price of $135 for St. Barnabus in Bellmore for 5 Sunday nights and then $200 for the Fri night /Sat all day session in Brooklyn churches. I'm liking the cheaper ones!! Thanks girls!

Do you know when the one at St. Patricks is?
I need to do one in a day or weekend because of work schedule, but when you go onto the diocese of Rockville Centre everything was 200 plus. Ugghhh

Chllekm- im also getting married at St. Barnabas. I have to still call, but did you find out if they do it in a weekend?

They don't do it in one weekend unfortunatley :(

Did you book the church yet for your date? We met with Fr. Valentine. He said he would be marrying us if he was still with the church next year since they move them a lot. We didn't know who to request and he's really nice and personable.

Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa Park has one day Pre-Cana for $100. They do it about once a month. I THINK they take non-parishiners.

Hep A is not included with the sessions ;)
