Pre-Cana and FOCCUS near Smithtown

Pre-Cana and FOCCUS near Smithtown

Hello Ladies,
I'm getting married in East Rockaway, but I live in Smithtown and would like to do the pre-cana and FOCCUS here. Does anyone know of a parish that will do this for couples not getting married there?

I think you have to do Pre-Cana & FOCCUS at the church you plan on being married in. But you should call the church you plan on being married in to ask them if they will marry you even if you fo the Pre-Cana/FOCCUS somewhere else.

I have talked to the church, and they don't mind where we do it, as long as we get it done. That's why I'm on the lookout.

FH and I just completed both, pre-cana and FOCCUS. My church gave us a packet with all the dates and locations for each. The locations varied depending on which dates you chose. For example our FOCCUS was originally in May in Hampton Bays but we had to reschedule for July and that was in Uniondale. Our pre-cana was the Engaged Encounter weekend at the Seminary of Immaculate Conception in Huntington. HTH. Feel free to FM me.
