Hi fellow '09 brides! Is anyone else going to pre-cana at St. John the Baptist Church in Wading River November 7-8? I am actually really looking forward to it, and hope to meet some of you there!

I always wondered what pre-cana meant?

No such thing as a dumb question!!! Pre-cana is like a marriage readiness/prep session the catholic church requires all couples to attend before the wedding. Every church/diocese does it different, but they are usually either a weekend session or a few weeknight sessions with other couples getting married and then there are usually married couples there as well, sort of like a pre-marital group counseling opportunity. It sounds weird but I've heard really great stories about pre-cana from friends and I'm especially excited about SJB's pre-cana because they discuss things like communication in a relationship, etc.
