Pre Cana class review
I don't post much on here, but thought I'd post a review for those of you doing pre cana.
Well we attended our classes this weekend. It was in Brooklyn. There were about 15 couples..We went Friday night (7:30-9 pm) and all day Saturday (9am-5:30pm). A couple runs the class. The first night was praying and the Deacon talking about what it means to be married. He let us out early on Friday. That was nice.
On Saturday, they provided breakfast for us. Then the couple presented scenarios to us and how we think we should handle them. Next, they gave us a book that contained various topics in them. Next to each topic was a sheet of questions for the couple to answer. We were assigned specific topics to read about and then answer questions separately then come back together and compare our answers. Some of the topics covered were communication, decision making, how to handle arguements/disagreements.
It was more helpful than I thought it would be. When my fiance and I came together we laughed a lot. We were impressed how many of our answers were the same. On the other hand, we did learn some new things about one another.
It was fun. They also provided lunch and let us out by 3:30. That was a great way to end it!!!
