Pre-Cana date assignment!

Hi ladies...first post i've started on 08 brides! FH and I have pre-cana this weekend and the Deacon emailed us and instead of the traditional Friday night mass he wants us to all go out on real, old-fashioned dates...the only catch...no wedding talk! FH and I both work in Manhattan but rarely go out to eat there; any suggestions on good restaurants in midtown?

I dont have a suggestion - but i have to say thats the hardest assignment ive had from my reverend...im always talking about the weding!

if you are sweets people, go out of midtown to max brenner's on broadway b/c w. 13th and w.14th its to DIE for. the food is good but the desserts are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!

I don't have restaurant recommendation but that is GREAT assignment.

What are of midtown? what kind of food do you like? I live in NYC and eat out ALOT!! I can totally help you out!

FH works on 5th and 36th, so anywhere within walking distance of his area because he works later than I do! Any help would be great! Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions! It's definately going to be interesting not talking wedding talk, and the other part of our assignment is homework...we have to write each other love letters when we get home! Did anyone else have to do that? I'm DYING to read what he's going to write hahaha!

My DH and I had to write love letters to each other and it was a great experience since we got to fully express how much we loved each other and what we loved about each other. And it was awesome because Mike (my DH) totally opened up about his feelings for me since you know he's a very private person. His letter totally made me cry. It's something you will treasure forever. I'm sure you and Tim will have no problem with that...
