My church really wnats us to do our pre-cana with them, but FI just started his new job as a cop and his schedule is totally wacky. The only times of the p-c are three Sundays from 7-9 in March and FI is working every single one! The lady said that this was the only pre-cana and he will have to take off work, but he can't -- there is no possible way that he can.
My question-- can everyone post where they are planning on going to pre-cana and when you are going and if a couple from an outside parish could come too? Phone numbers/ names would also be really helpful (if possible) . Thank you soooooooooo much!

When my FH and I signed up for our pre-cana sessions, they gave us the option of taking it elsewhere if we didn't want to wait. Try calling other rectories in your area and ask them if they can allow you to particpate there. There are also weekend retreats to complete pre-cana. It dosn't hurt to call around and ask. Even talk to your priest that is marrying you and explain the problem. The admin staff at churches can be a pain, but the priest should be able to offer up some sort of solution. They don't want to lose the money they get for your wedding ceremony.

we had our first precana meeting at church on a sunday-then it was on tuesday nights i believe....then our last session was on a sunday as well...it was at ST sylvesters in medford

call Rockville center they have a 1 or 2 Saturday program. We were going to do that one but changed our mind at the last minute. Your church needs to be more understanding.

we had to do ours at a different parish- we are getting married on LI and going back and forth to do pre cana was not an option. we did it in CT..we actually wound up doing the one day all day one

We did ours through the Archdiocese of NY, www.archny.org even though we're getting married in the Archdiocese of Rockville Centre.
You can sign up online for pre cana through them and they accept everyone.

pre-cana.org they are the general precana courses. I took it this week and it was SOOOO good!!

You can call the diocese of Rockville Centre. They host pre-cana once a month and various parishes.

I don't know if you want to travel east, but we are doing ours at Most Holy Trinity in East Hampton and it's a one day program from 9-5 on Sat March 25th. Our parish doesn't even offer pre-cana!!!

we're doing ours in the city where we live, i did it through the archdiocese's website. Our church on LI was totally understanding about not being able to do it through their parish. Good Luck!
