Hope you guys can help. My FH and I do not belong to any parishes and we're going church hunting this weekend. Does anyone know if the priest is going to give us a hard time b/c we live together when it comes to the Pre-Cana thing we have to do?

I live with FH and made the mistake of telling them we live together, well the priest wasn't happy so I didn't book with them. So we went to my church and didn't tell them and they didn't ask. So i would advise not telling them you live together, life would be easier!

a friend of mine told the priest that and they were okay with it...
i think lying about it , is probally worse?

FH and I don't live together so I can't really help. But when we met with the priest he took down our names and addresses. If you don't want the priest to know you're living together I would suggest giving him two different addresses such as your parents.

I honestly think it depends on each priest.
The priest that's marrying us knows we're house shopping and will probably buy something before the wedding and doesn't say anything. But I do know there are some other priests who will make this an issue.
