Pre Cana question

Pre Cana question

Hello everyone! I haven't been on the boards in AGES bc of student teaching, but now I'm finished with grad school and back into the wedding planning again!

Quick question for any other December or late 2014 brides - when should we schedule our Pre Cana? I feel like I have a lot of time for this since our wedding isn't until 12/20/14, but I still want to stay on top of it so it doesn't sneak up on me! :) Any help/advice would be awesome - thanks so much!

Pre Cana question

My wedding is in October and we are doing ours the first weekend of April. You should contact your church and they should be able to tell you their Pre Cana dates for 2014.

Pre Cana question

My priest told me at my church they do it in November and April. He said he suggests april since November would be really early.

Re: Pre Cana question

We got engaged in May 2012 and did our PreCana September 2012 for a January 2014 wedding. Our Priest said the earlier the better because what you learn in Pre Cana can help you throughout the process of wedding planning.

We got engaged December 2011 and did Pre-Cana in winter 2012 for our May 2014 wedding. I don't think there's such a time as too early. I say do whatever fits best in your schedule.

Pre Cana question

Were getting married in November and I have no idea when to go for the Pre Cana yet. After I called the church to set the date they priest said ok call back in February so I guess we will find out then.

I called today and they told me AT LEAST 6 months before! Did you ladies do the weekend one or weekly?

Pre Cana question

When I met with my priest In February he said he would put FH and I are the list. We are supposed to meet with the priest again later this month so I'm hoping to find out more about 'the list' and when we should be expecting to go.

Pre Cana question

I just did Engaged Encounter with my fiancé in July. It was the best thing we have ever done for us. We learned so much about each other and got even closer. We shared our deepest feelings and discussed things we never thought about talking about. I think you and your fiancé will get much more out of the weekend than if you do a weekly pre Cana. The next one is in October which would give you enough time to get it done before your big day! Lenny and Pat are the couple in charge of everything. Email them for more info [email protected]. Good Luck with everything!!! :))

Check with your church when pre-cana classes are given. You can ask your priest when you and FH should complete the classes. I'm getting married August 2014 and our priest signed us up for pre-cana classes this October. I like having to do the classes early so it’s just something I don’t have to deal with closer to the wedding date.
