Pre-Cana - Sat, Oct 1

FH and I are going to pre-cana this Saturday in Douglaston. Is anyone else going? Also, can we wear jeans to pre-cana? OR should we wear something more like khakis?

Good Luck and have fun! FH and I wore jeans...some people got a little more dressed up, but there were a lot of people wearing jeans and t-shirts.

I have to do the FOCCUS, but from what I heard, it was fun.

I haven't heard of the FOCCUS test, what is that?

FH and I had our Pre-Cana there on 9/17. Jeans are a definate OK! Also, they will provide small muffins and danishes along with coffee, tea and water for breakfast. As well as a hot lunch!

I think you need to take it to get married in the catholic church. It stands for Facilitating Open Communication, Understanding and Study. It is a series of questions about life...there was one on finance, one on getting along with each others families, one on your faith, one on sex...a whole bunch of questions...you have to either (a) agree (b) disagree or (c) undecided. Taking the test was a bit long and boring ... the fun part was going over the answers. Me and FH tried to guess what the other had said (and were correct for the most part!)

We started Pre-Cana last week and most of the people had on jeans.

We went to the center in Douglaston for pre-cana last April. Jeans were fine. It seemed like a long day, but the questions and booklet entertained us. We kind of enjoyed going through our answers together.
