Pre-Cana troubles...

Alrighty once again I am calling on my LIW'ers to make some magic happen for me.

I have been on a waiting list with the local church to get into their pre-cana class. They start late January and have spoken to the woman who holds them many times.

Here's the thing. We are getting married at St.Pats in Glen Cove nearly an hour from me. The priest there said I can go to a local church a do it closer to us for convienience. So I called the church closest to me and they keep it open to their own parishinors until right before. I have been waiting MONTHS on this. To top it off I really want to go there bc it is FREE! I jsut spoke to the lady today and she is still unsure if there will be room for FH and I.

Pleeeeaaasseeee send good vibes that we get into this class! I should know by next week she said!!!

my church does it at least 3 times a year... you should call and ask. we are taking a May session and signed up for that already. I agree with you about the $$ thing. Its cheaper this way but its good to know that there is a backup with the diocese weekened option.

have you called any other churches as a back up? we are using FH's church(getting married at my parents' church). their program start in january, and they have been pretty easy... where are you?

Im in Suffolk, exit 68 off the LIE. I havn't tried anyone else yet. I was pretty confident this was going to come through. It still might. Think I can wait the week and then start calling other's? Do most churches do it in January?

My church is having one that starts on Jan 10th and ends in Feb (I believe the 7th). It does cost $$ though, but I'm pretty sure it's not full. I want to say it's like $75? It's St. John's in center Moriches - pretty close to where you are (exit 69 on LIE).
