My church won't give information about completing pre-canor in a weekend, they say they prefer not to. I was wondering if anyone lived in Nassau County and new how you can find out where they offer it. Thanks!

yeah, they said its possible but they would rather, us do it 5 weeks time rather than one weekend, so they wouldn't give us the info...lol normal right.

my church said that we could complete pre-cana at any parish as long as we got the certificate to show. we are doing pre-cana at fh's church because its easier for us.

Try calling the diocese in RVC. When i got married the first time we did our pre cana through them and not my specific church. We just gave our priest our completion certificate before the wedding.

Call the archdiocies (sp) in Rockville Center. I think your church is supposed to accept a pre canna completion letter from any church in the diocies.

i did 6 weeks (every monday night, 2 hrs a night for 5 weeks then a mass on the 6th monday.) although it was nice, I'd rather have done the one day one.

I wouldn't mind doing the whole thing for 5 weeks, but I work late and live 40 minutes from my fiancee. I think I'm just having a bad day...
