Pre-ceremony pictures

2 questions - how many of you are taking pictures with your FH prior to your ceremony?
My photographer recommended that we see each other before the ceremony - more romantic and personal and this way we will be able to enjoy our party.

- where are you taking them?
Our venue will not allow us in any earlier than one hour prior to the ceremony.

Oh, we are getting married at the Thatched Cottage.

I am! I want to enjoy my cocktail and reception! I also want my bridal party to enjoy it too!

We are doing this too! It just makes more sense and that way we could enjoy the cocktail hour. I can't remember where our photographer suggested (I want to say the Hempstead House), but I do know he said we should pick a place where pictures could be taken either indoors or outdoors, just in case of bad weather.

Then you can go to your RH for that hour before and take more photos

I am taking pictures before at the hotel and reception hall. Not sure if I will do a picture site.

I really wanted to be traditional and not see each other before the ceremony but after thinking about it i changed my mind..my photographer is going to set up a first meeting so shell be able to catch that moment...i just dont wanna miss too much of my cocktail hour...not for all that money we r spending!!

I don't want my FH to see me before I walk down the aisle.

We are doing pics at the RH right after and then going to the CH to greet everyone so we can dance all night.

I'm getting married in January and I don't know how many pics we will all be willing to take outside in the freezing cold

I gave in and we are seeing each other before and doing pictures. All the photographers I've met with have wanted 3-4 hours for pictures before the ceremony (different locations/travel time, etc). That would be the whole wedding. We don't want to miss cocktail hour and pictures are my #1. Depends how important they are to you. FH's #1 was the band so he won't want to miss a second of it for pics...except for sunset photos of course.
