Pre-K in public school system?

Just wondering about the case with LI Schools.

My sister is in a really good school district in Queens and her SD just recently added a PreSChool program, and my niece is in it now.

I was wondering if any schools on LI have PreK or plan to add it any time soon?

Re: Pre-K in public school system?

Re: Pre-K in public school system?

My mom works in the district Pre-K in Middle Country School District. There must be other districts that have it as well.

I wish my district had a pre-k.

Re: Pre-K in public school system?

Some districts do offer it... I'm sure about Hewlett- Woodmere and Lindenhurst, but its UPK and sometimes those go based on income if they don't have enough space.

I believe that Bellmore and Manhasset have programs. Possibly East Meadow too.

Re: Pre-K in public school system?

I think West Babylon has one. They did many years ago when my sister went. I think it is a great way to get young child used to the school.
