Any ideas on where we can take pictures before our Lombardis on the sound wedding? We are getting married at St. James church in Setauket and were going to go to the beach by lombardis for pics, but I wanted to see if there were any other options...Thanks for your help

You're in my neck of the woods, so I have lots of little spots in that area...there's the Frank Melville park which is around the corner, but there's nothing really in it besides the grist mill. You can backtrack a few minutes into Stony Brook Village, and go into Avalon or the Village Green.

We are getting married by port jefferson at lombardis not villa...Are all the places you mentioned close to pt jeff? We do have 2 hours in between, but on a friday in the summer traffic could be horrible :(

I meant I live in the area, so I'm familiar with the local spots. I take it you're not from the setauket/port jeff area then?
The Frank Melville park is in Setauket. It's literally around the corner from St. James RCC. Stony Brook Village is going back west of Setauket, but only about 5 minutes, not even. Stony Brook and Setauket are about 10 minutes from Port Jeff.
There's not tooooooooooo much traffic up 25A. If you only have 2 hours though (2 hours before you have to be there, or 2 hours before CH?), I'd probably skip the park and go back to Stony Brook. It's a little more picturesque by the water, whereas the park is definitely more rustic. All depends on your taste tho...in my experience (and believe me, we've done it!), it's very possible to go from SB to Setauket to Port Jeff and back within a very short time.

going downport would be soo cool! pics by the docks and even on the streets...i bet they could get some awesome pics..theres even that park ...i mean its for kids...but who doesn't like swinging on swings?
