Pre-wedding parties

When should we have the pre-wedding parties (bridal shower, bridal party luncheon, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, etc)?

Also, when should we do our engagement photos? I was thinking October, because the leaves will be changing and we will be 6 months away from the wedding. Is there a standard?

I am trying to plan out my year. Thanks.

Not sure of a standard but here's what I have seen people do:

Rehearsal Dinner: a day or 2 before depending on when your rehearsal is, if not having a formal rehearsal the night before wedding.

Shower: usually 1 month to 3 months before wedding.

Bachelor/ette parties: Within a month or so before wedding. (we asked that ours not be in the 2 weeks prior to).

Luncheon a week or 2 before wedding.

I'm sure there's some official etiquette but sometimes things change to accommodate the participants.

As for your E-pictures I'd say you have time to choose what season and what location. Fall would be beautiful. You should pick a time and place you guys like, I don't think it has to be a specific time period before, just leave enough time to get the photos processed.

BM luncheon, how bout weekend before, bachelorette how much 1 month or less before..
