i just signed up for the weekend retreat!!!!! its more money, but its only 3 days...and its a retreat!
i am sooo looking forward to it! i have done retreats in the past, and i like them. just a really good time to reflect. FH never did a retreat, so i think he is looking forward to it too
i didnt get a confirmation back yet saying 'we are in and confirmed'...when i do, ill let ya kno!
ETA: just got a phone call we are confirmed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doing it at huntington.
the weekends are pricey - 340 to 430 (depending on place). but that is also for room and board (2nights).

I am doing it at Saint Raymond's in East Rockaway and it costs $75.

Its sad is I don't even know my church's breakdown I just know I am paying $1000 for everything.

the pre cana offered through my church is $65 i believe, but you have to go on 6 consecutive sunday nights which FH cant do with his work schedule.... so i am going to sign up for one through www.pre-cana.org and take a friday night/ saturday pre cana at a church in douglaston. its $195 so more pricier but its convenient for us time wise.

We did it at Holy Name of Mary, it was $75. It was 3 2-hour sessions on Thursday nights....the last week in April and the first two weeks in May. It was so simple, and the second week was actually kind of interesting. On week three at the end we got our certificates and were told to expect a call about the rehearsal about a month before the wedding.

ours is $195 for two days have not signed up yet the class I want is in December and we have to wait intill October

Mine was like $275! We are doing it in Rockland County, since we live in Westchester. This is what annoys me about the Catholic Church...why should there be such a fluctuation in price? It should be the same no matter what diocese you attend. $275 is ridiculous.
