ok fh is catholic and I am jewish. we are having an interfaith marraige at the RH is this somehing we have to do?

I dont think so. You will just meet with you officiant. My brother and FSIL are in the same situation. They are having a justice of the peace so they don't have to do any of that. In order to do pre cana and be married in a church you must both be catholic and received all you sacraments.

No. Precana is only for those being married by the catholic church.

thanks
we are meeting with a priest and a cantor this week. not sure if we are going to use them yet. the cantor seems nice on the phone have not talked to the priest at all yet
