I would go in corporate casual. Khakis or casual pants a neat sweater. I wouldn't do jeans just because even though the church has made great strides, they can still be strict and judgemental.

We were told to dress up. Khaki's are ok with a dress shirt

I would err on the side of slacks and a nice top or a casual dress. You never know when you run into a priest that is conservative.

we went there for our precana back in july - you can wear anything - some people dressed up and other basically wore their pajamas....don't worry, jeans would be fine!! (hope this sisn't too late - i think it is for you but not for everyone else!)
ps - this is only for the brooklyn(queens) diocese though - not necessarily for the others....
