Predicted Hurricane Season

I was just doing some reasearch because i dont want to fly to far for my honeymoon(i dont like flying). They are saying the hurricane season for 2007 June-Nov is going to be bad. Well its just predicted. that messes me up! Guess Aruba it is then.
Figured id let you know.

Re: Predicted Hurricane Season

LOL! Since we picked our reception hall. I have just kept picturing myself hanging in a hurricane onto the banister outside the catering hall. I envision my dress blowing up over my face due to the wind velocity and the me drenched by the rain. Let's hope it does not rain on my day. I don't want my visions to come true. However, I have this strong feeling that it will!

Re: Predicted Hurricane Season

I research this for work.

The experts still considered this past season 'bad' because of the number of named storms, even though most of them didn't make landfall.

Agree with you im in october and im on the water and i hear exactly what your saying. Im sure it will all work out! Hearing that about the hurricane season pisses me off cause i want to stay close but guess i shouldnt even risk it. Ill have to take a pill or have a few drinks before i fly.

No offense, but they also said that about the 2006 season and there was just 1 that hit Florida, so they were off base.

i remember the beginning of this past summer the weather people kept saying how this hurricane season was going to be one of the worst. They don't know!!! There were not that many hurricanes at all this season- nothing like last year!

i really hope they're wrong. i'm going to jamaica in august. i knew it was risky booking it, and we got insurance, but i'd rather not have to post pone it.

and thats all I have to say about that . . . wonder if they 'predicted' last year that we'd get 70 degree weather in January.

OUR WEDDING IS IN AUG AND WE ARE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO VEGAS FOR A BIT AND THEN WAITING AFTER ALL OF THE HURRICAN SEASON STUFF TO JUST FLY BY - THEN AFTER HURRICANE SEASON GO ON A BIGGER MORE ELABORATE HONEYMOON PLUS THIS WILL GIVE US A BIT MORE TIME TO SAVE AS WELL

We did this. We went to Newport, RI the weekend of our HM and then planned an elaborate HM for this March to the Sandals resort in the Bahamas.

Re: Predicted Hurricane Season

just a suggestion to you girls in the hurricane season..my husband and i went to portugal and it was INCREDIBLE! totally different, beautiful exotic, adventurous..relaxing, everything wrapped up into one..and we went for 12 days, stayed in VERY exclusive hotels and it was much less then i thought we'd spend..
i gave myself a 6k budget for the HM, and i think we spent 4500 on the trip, and about 2000 while we were there..we did ALOT of very expensive things though, that we normally wouldnt have done, but hey its your HM go for it!!
