The steroid. Any of you ever have to take it?? I had a rash breakout of some sort on saterday, went to the er, and this is what they gave me. I'm only on it for five days, do you think that this is ok?? (I'm very paranoid about medication

I went to the ER for a severe allergic reaction and one of the meds that they put me on was prednisone.
If they gave you a similar dosage that I had, then it's relatively low and you shouldn't experience very many side effects. The worst thing to me was the nasty taste that it left in my mouth.
Generally, you would feel some nasty side effects only if you were taking a much higher dosage.
