Pregnancy...

I haven't told anyone, but I found out today that I'm pregnant!!! You guys have been such great help! What do I do now????

I obviously will tell my DH, and believe I will make it a cute thing (like wrap a bib as a gift, or post a 'baby on board' sign for him to see it, etc). Any suggestions?

Also, do I tell anyone other than DH? I believe one shouldn't say until after the early stages (where miscarriages can occur), but I'm DYING over here! I almost slipped by telling two close co-workers!

Call your doc, make your first appointment which they should make for your 7th week or so.

I told everyone right away cause I cant keep things to myself.

Stop drinking, smoking or anything else bad that you wouldnt want your newborn doing. Stop eatting soft cheeses, limit your intake of fish cause it may contain mercury, ask your doc if you should take prenatals and have them prescribe some for you.

I didn't tell DH in any special way bc I knew the he probably would be more shocked than estatic.

We only told our parents, I told 3 of my GF bc I needed some advice and DH told 2 of his friends. I finally told the rest of my family when I was 11 weeks.

Well, I was on the phone with my cousin when I took the test, so she knows, then I told my best friends (I know it is really early, but god forbid something does happen, I am going to need support from them) and then DH finally came home He worked over night and I didn't want to tell him over the phone, I told him, and my aunt, we are waiting to tell the rest of the family IL's my dad etc for Christmas, we got them some really cute presents to tell them.

kptoys, I can't keep my mouth shut either... but I'm proud... I've only told my boss (who I have a close relationship with). I will tell DH tonight... soooo nervous about it.

steph4777, he won't really be shocked, because I've been mentioning it to him the past week. He's going to be sooo happy though. I will also tell close family & friends, and everyone else come in the new year.

9.17.04bride, I completely agree. God forbid something happens, you definitely need ur support system in the know. One thing's for sure, anyone I tell will NOT hear it over the phone. It's more personal in person.

During lunch, I bought a onesee (sp?), and wrapped it. Once I get home, I will tell him that I bought something for us, and let him open it... then await his reaction.. hahaha.
