pregnant BM and dress

one of my BM will be 7 months pregnant during my wedding. Do we order the same dress? (its strapless with a sash) when do we measure and order?? I'm confused. tia!

this is the dress. i'm scared about the waistline

They can measure her when all of your girls get measured. She can have the same dress depending on where the sash is and if she measures as a 6 now they will probably order her a 12 or a 14 and take it in. Make sure there is a cap on alterations!!

Two of my BMs were pregnant at my wedding, but they were only about 3 months along.

I think it depends how high the sash is on the dress, maybe there is a similar maternity style dress with a high sash?

As far as I know is that they go up a bunch of sizes... (i.e. if she was a 10... they would probably order her an 18 or a 20) and then work on it once it's closer to the actual date of the wedding adn they see how big she is at that point....

However if you are really concerned.. and you don't mind her in a different dress... but the same color, Davids Bridal has MATERNITY BM dresses check it out online

I was looking the exact same dress and we might have the same problem the woman said she would order extra material and create a panel but it would cost extra

I'm having the same probem --my FSIL is due the week before my wedding!! Are there any other maternity dresses out there?

Ditto...this is the way to do it. As for the sash on the dress it looks like it is high enough to be above her belly. I'm sure she will be fine, just be sure to tell the fitter when you are order the dresses.

I had two pregnant BM's, both 7 and half months pregnant and we used the Bill Levkoff 966 dress which is similar to that one.
Check out my album. What the seamstress did was take the dress up from the bottom, made the sash higher so that they had more room in the tummy, and were more comfortable. Both knew they were PG when we ordered (It was early on)so they ordered 2 sizes bigger!

Is this a bill levkoff? At my brother's wedding, one of her bms was 8 months pregnant. They waited to order the dress til the last minute and then altered it for her. It actually looked really good!
