ok...so i already posted that my matron of honor told me she is pregnant and I AM THRILLED.. but now i am confused as to what to do about dress shopping. We are supposed to start looking in sept. or oct. sometime.. She is gonna be due around april i think.. which leaves about 7 months til the wedding.. so she will def. drop some weight by then.. but right now she is SUPER SKINNY. I def. want to order one before april of next yr. . i'm so confused..lmao. when should i order the dress... could we order a bigger dress while she is a few months pregnant, then just have it altered to her size once it's time.. or should i just wait til after she has the baby to order it????

Re: Pregnant BMs..what to do?
I think if you order in April it will be fine. She can order to her size then and whatever weight she drops by your wedding, the seamstress can fix in her alterations.

Re: Pregnant BMs..what to do?
Honestly, most BM dresses only need about 12 weeks to come in, tops. That's around 3 months. Most places will say to order around 6 months before this way you have a few weeks for alterations and any unexpected emergencies. If your wedding date isn't until 11/7, you'll be totally fine not ordering them until April, she can probably even wait until a couple of weeks after the baby is due as you usually drop quite a few lbs in the couple of weeks right after the birth. You'll be fine!

I haven't ordered any BM dresses, we're ordering next month, which will be 5 months before.... wait until after the baby (after checking with the store where you will buy) I think you'll be fine!

I know you mentioned that you wanted to order them before April, but if you call around, you'll see that a lot of designers (for BM dresses) range from 2-4 months to come in. So if you oder after she has her baby, then they would still come in on time That way, she won't have to spend so much money on alterations, and I'm sure she would appreciate that especially after having a baby and all of those new baby expenses Just another idea
