I just found out that one of my bridesmaids is pregnant and will be about 5 months at the wedding. I was going to do wine tasting for my bachelorette party but now I'm considering doing something else so that she is able to participate. Does anyone have any ideas? Anyone have a situation like this? Thanks in advance!

Could you do something else but still incorporate a wine tasting in it? Just not have it be the main part of the evening?

Yea someone just posted on the 09 board that she had a pregnant bridesmaid and did wine tasting and it was great. She said they had lunch outside at one place and looked at shops and stuff so it wasnt like wine tasting was the main event. Plus I was planning on having the girls come sleepover my apt afterwards and doing brunch the next day so wine tasting will only be a little part of it. Do you think that sounds okay?

Not to sound like a total bridezilla here, but its your day and your b-party. If you want to go wine tasting - go wine tasting. She will still be able to come with, but wont be able to drink. Chances are you are going to be involving alcohol in your b-party one way or another so you might as well do what you want.

Yeah I think this definately sounds okay. I also agree with the other post that says, its your day and if drinking is somehow a part of it, it shouldnt matter. Im sure you friend wouldnt expect anything to change because she was pregnant. But in any case like you said, it wont be the main event so there will be plenty for her to feel involved in.

You can go to a spa with all your girls and then maybe you can also do the wine tasting , so you dont miss out and neither does she.

One of my friends is allergic to wine and she comes to the vineyards with us all the time. She likes just coming outdoors for the day, and she is always happily the designated driver.
For your B-party, it's not like all you are going to do is stand around with bottles in your hand. You talk, you laugh, you enjoy the day. I'm sure she will too.

Yea I totally agree with you girls! I definitely think I am going to keep the party at the wineries for the day. I will definitely incorporate other activities besides just wine tasting and I think it should be okay. Thank you so much to everyone who replied. You made a lot of sense and made me feel a TON better. :)

ITA with the other girls. Plus, going to the vineyards is WAY more low-key than clubbing or hitting up the casinos, so she'll be comfortable with it.
