I just found out last night that one of my bridesmaids is pregnant and I couldn't be happier for her! My question is this:
What do I do about the BM dresses? She will not be pregnant for my wedding (it is exactly one year from today…YAY!), but once we start looking for dresses (I have some ideas, but nothing set in stone yet) she (obviously) will be. How should this be handled?
Thanks!

Re: Pregnant Bridsemaid
Maybe she can try on a few general styles now just so she can figure out what her size will be. Then when u pick out the dress, order that size (or maybe even a size bigger in case she still has baby weight).

once you pick a style she should order the size a bit bigger (if anything she can always get is altered)

Re: Pregnant Bridsemaid
Just plan on purchasing the dresses you would like for your wedding, but keep in mind that she might end up being larger in size after the pregnancy.
Try looking for a dress that has some coverage around the midsection, like a sash or ticker boning, just in case she might need a little more help in that area.

Re: Pregnant Bridsemaid
See what size she is now and then order 2 sizes bigger. Better to have to payfor alterations than order a new dress at the last minute!

I have the same problem. But I have 4 of my girls are preggers now!! We went 2 weeks ago to get the dresses. The girls at the bridal shop know what to do though!! NO worries!! They ordered the dress one size bigger incase the baby weight doesn't come off. It's always better to take in the let out!!!!

this is exactly what i would do, they youll have at least 3 months when the wedding comes closer to get it fitted for her

she should get measured now so you can see around the size you will need to order for her

Out of my bridesmaids - only 1 tried on the dress and no one was pregnant! I had a universal dress so it was fine on eveyrone

My MOH is due on my birthday (Feb) my wedding is in June, we ordered gowns 12/1 since they can't be ordered later, talk to your boutique and see wht they suggest. Since my cousin is so far along, she is going to have to have major alterations made..

Re: Pregnant Bridsemaid
2 of my bridesmaids are pregnant but are giving birth before my wedding. I chose a very flowy dress with an empire waist. Its beautiful and looks great on all my girls. If the pregnant ones still have some baby weight, they will still feel comfortable in this. They got fitted before they got too big. The women suggested that they get one size bigger than they were now. It's much easier to take the dress in then take it out.

I had girls of all diffrent heights and weight so I picked adesigner, a color and a fabric and they all got diffrent dresses by the same manufacturer and same color. The pics came out great and the girls were comfortable. Good luck!!!

Order a bigger size and then get alterations when the day gets close.
I have 2 pregnant bm's. MY moh is due 12 days before the wedding. Another will be like 6 months prego at the wedding.
